Pro Alloy Escort TURBO series 2 Front mount Intercooler
Hi guys,
You can read that an Turbo cooler (110ponds) is optional for this intercooler.
Does anybody know when such a turbo cooler is necessary ?
I run my hybrid turbo at 1.1 bar.
But you can also buy an oilcooler or a turbo wrap bag or a alloy waterradiator to keep things cooler...but I guess buying it all will cool
things to much down and I will have to drive from holland to the uk to get my car on temperature...
What to do ? Thanks !

Hi,
The turbo cooler is a good option when the car is very highly tuned and the water temperatures are very high.
By adding the turbo cooler you are cooling the water that exits the turbo, before returning it to the water system.
The turbo cooler adds another 30% (aprox) to the water cooling system.
I hope this answers your question.
Kind regards

* If I buy the Pro Alloy front mount intercooler which include the 2 fans, do I need another fan on my Pro Alloy water-radiator ?
>no, the fans suppied are efficient enough for the water radiator as well.
* What can I expect from the 'the Cold air feed for the air filter' as optional for the front mount intercooler ?
>This is just a pipe welded to the deflector plate. This allows cold air to be fed to the air filter. We have not made a test for this but we do know that it will add power to the car (we have done this on many cars before!!). If this is used you can not use the turbo cooler as there is not space for both.
Kindest regards

Hi Guys,
The beauty of this kit is that it is modular.
you can buy the front mount kit with the 'standard' air deflector plate and then bolt on the optional cold air feed or the turbo cooler if you wish.

Well just thought if we were to buy the Pro Alloy waterradiator, then the turbo cooler isnt that usefull anymore, right ? Then an oilcooler would be the next step I guess..
