Default how will long will a std t3 last on stage 3 cos

stupid questio i know

but what would be the the time scale roughly on a std turbo

as far as im aware its a std t3 anyhow

i was going to just put the boost to around 17psi until i can afford the upgrade obviously if it goes then it will be sooner than planned

just wondering if i could get away with it for a couple of months just pottering around witha quick blast here and there

thanks

ive heard its not going to last long due to not having a 360 bearing as it only has a 170 is it?

I think it a 270 degree thrust bearing. I had 16 psi on my stage 1 and all was fine.

I only upgraded really because my t3 had done 100k and i wanted greens etc so t34 was purchased

Are you 100% sure it was a standard t3? I very much doubt it could hold 24 psi at 6k

one hundred percent. Owned the car for six years and had the turbo changed about 2 years before the conversion as the original went pop. Was replace with another standard T3 as I couldnt afford anything else at the time.

When I had the conversion I assumed the turbo would give up the ghost shortly afterwards and had the intention of replacing it. Gave it its fairshare of abuse but it just would not die.

Had it tuned 12 months later and had kept pretty much the same horespower. Was told then that I should replace the turbo as a standard one wouldnt last. Never did 'get round to it' months later and still pulled as strong as an ox, although the clutch was beginning to go (and that was the 2nd one !)

Just lucky I guess
