Been listening to Tiesto since I first saw him live at the NEC in 2002 I think it was, hadn't really heard much of him until then, tore the roof off!

Currently own all the Magik series, ISOS 1 and 2, countless live sets on the computer, both concerts on DVD and seen him at:

NEC 2002
Summer Sound System 2003
Golden @ Stoke 2003
Creamfields 2006

People in the 'scene' slag him off due to his popularity but I've never seen someone so energetic in the booth, genuinely loves his job!

Seen that vid a few times and seen Halliwell live a couple of times, in terms of technical ability Eddie is amongst the best around!

Tiesto ain't 'that' technically gifted compared to others at the same level, but it's his track choice that got him where he is now, that and a great PR team!

What and nothing to do with his own music creations!!??

I think the guy has came a log way and also does alot of his own mixes on alot of top name songs and does them well

Watched alot of that eddie and to be honest im not totally taken by his talents tbh.If you listen to him mixing alot of it is out of sync and the scrathing well that leaves alot to be desired.Heard alot better from a few of my mates tbh not slatin the guy but seems to me he has alot of followers that maybe dont hear what i hear

Just my opinion

I've also heard Tiesto do alot of crap mixing aswell, tramilining is something he'll often do, as said before, I'm a big fan don't get me wrong, enjoyed everytime I've seen him live and really knows how to work the crowd.

But yes, I think a hell of alot of Tiesto's success is down to a very good PR drive that was started 5/6 years ago, nothing wrong with that, I genuinely think there are technically better DJ's out there though, Armin Van Buuren for example imo.

Producing wise, yeah he's done some crackers, although prefer more of his older stuff, his take of Delerium's 'Silence' is possibly my all time favourite tune!

iam not an avid "eddie" follower but i like his style cos it takes alot of balls and talent to step up to the plate in a packed big club and let rip with fx,scratching and fresh ideas aswell as keep the mixing together. iam not dissing tiesto, i just think he plays abit "safe" and from time to time his mixing can be abit suspect but fair play to the guy.

Quick Reply: Any DJ Tiesto fans on here???
