does look like one but according to webpage its all wheel drive 
after all they are just a volvo and they just needed a transmission tunnel to use there 4wd system

how can you tell it's an ST from that TINY photo? 
Looks the same as the one in Autocar a few weeks back. Couldn't find an online version of the article though.

"Hot Hatch": Ein kompaktes Heckklappen-Auto (Hatchback) mit Sport-Ambition. Und „hotter“ als dieses Auto geht’s kaum noch - der Focus RS wird der stärkste Kompakte, den Ford jemals auf Räder gestellt hat. 300 PS und Allradantrieb sollen den Über-Focus zum Konkurrenten von Evo X, WRX STi & Co. machen.
Bei der Ausfahrt aus der Nürburgring-Nordschleife ist der 300 PS starke Ford Focus RS dem Fotografen vor die Linse geraten. Rein optisch ist der Unterschied zum Focus ST gering, bei näherer Betrachtung fallen die großen Lufteinlassöffnungen an der Front auf.
Dazu kommt, laut Augen- und Ohrenzeugen, der Sound. Der Fahrer des Focus war unangenehm überrascht von der Anwesenheit des Fotografen und stieg aufs Gas (daneben fand er noch Zeit für ein internationales Handzeichen). Der vehemente Antritt wurde von Rallye-artigen Klängen untermalt, das Turbosystem zwitscherte beim Gangwechsel in WRC-Manier.
Abgesehen von noch etwas selbstbewussterem Styling wird sich der Ford Focus RS bis zu seiner offiziellen Premiere wohl nicht mehr viel verändern.

Apart from some more more self-confident styling Ford focus R-S up to its official premiere will change probably not more much.

One thing they wouldn't be testing at the ring would be a TDCi version, so ignore that. If they were developing a TDCi, I doubt they would test it there.

just finding my feet
when ever car companys test cars they always use mules to hide from the public
the focus IS a volvo floor pan aswell as the running gear so it aint that hard to do either
also considering its gonna be the s60r engine then i bet its the same gearbox set up

how the fook then car drive when them black things covering there faces,,, theres a challenge for the ring in april

I rember when i was living down in essex and me and a m8 sore the KA Convertble (sp) Before it had been releast had a very weid body kit hiding it 
But you could tell they were TEST DRIVING IT
