Default Quick Mercedes question

Why is it that on new/newish mercs like the SLK/CLK that their is always one foglight out that illuminates when that side indicator is used. Is this a feature or design fault??? I've noticed it on quite a few and its starting to bug me as to why any help mucho appreciated!!

this is a feature that is a kind of intelligent light.
This illuminates the corner when you turn the steering wheel.

No if you go in a staight line they won't be on.
It works on a sensor under the steering wheel.

Don't know about a website mate.
We get the info from mercedes germany as i'm working at a mecedes dealership.
We always get updates for new models an features.
Maybe a google on(Intelligent Light)as it called on the new E-class.
