gearbox dust shield thingy for 2wd saff do i need one

hi people ive just been trying to put me engine and box in but as im fitting a 4wd engine in a 2wd saff the dust cover thingy that goes between the box and block is different question 1 do i need it ? if so has anyone in bristol have one ?
