Default Rocker cover gasket failure ? cosworth

Ive got a problem , with oil getting into the gallerys aroun where the spark plug sits people ?

New gasket has been fitted and have this problem ? just took my rocker cover off and where spark plug 4 is and the rear of engine is full with oil and 4 bits that surround the plug

Any tips or advice on why this is happening ? Quite straight forward on fitting it , unless im doing something wrong as per

Previously the car didn have a gasket on it for some reason and had a bit of oil in therer but obviously thought the lack of gasket was the reason ? but now its worse but only at the end , car runs fine too , but i know there should not be oil there obviously

Any help appreciated , it was a new gasket from woodford

As said above make sure all the surfaces are clean, you could also try a cometic gasket wich are thicker.

Agree with above use a Cometic as its slightly thicker, the ford ones can sometimes tear or get bent over causing leaks into spark plug holes which will gve you a misfire in the end when it fills up.
