Gutted for you, Seen the car a few times at shows and its a stunner. Doubt it will help but have posted this up on about 5 other forums i use based in the southeast.

So if it couldnt be drove, it was either towed with a rope temporarily to see if they could get it started at a quieter place (which means it would of happened locally)
or
if they werent bothered bout starting it to drive, its been on something more than a rope i'd immagine, tow pole/hiab/flat bed/dolly which means it could be anywhere
i'd check locally/carparks/quiet roads for any signs. . altho wont lead to much but it's a help if you know how they took it

offering a cash reward has gotta be the best way forward.
there will be some one out there who will know who done it, and maybe where it is.
most will be happy to pass over that info for 500 quid or even a grand would be worth offering if it means u get to smack the living shit out of the person who stole ur pride and joy.
its not just the money but the love for the can and all the man hours spent on it that means so much to the owner!
i hope u find it and ther person who took it.
but the chances are its some one whos done it before and as mentioned before there will always be some one out there who will buy the bits and will probably not even realise they r from a stolen car unless they are really into their fords and knew this car well.
i mean how many of u wouldnt believe some one saying they abbanded a project and have a zetec, t4, hi spec injectors etc etc. they could be from any car really.
thats why u need decent info from a local!

I know most Impreza drivers are up their own arses but suggesting they could have anything to do with the car going AWOL is really harsh. They're car enthusiasts as we are at the end of the day and I'm sure despise the pond life thieves as much as the next person

sorry to be negative but a S1/2 is a very easy car to get on a trailer even with the steering lock on so it could be anywhere.

i know how u feel mate except i hadnt spent much on mine felt well fucked of though coz i didnt know wot cunt took it and i was lucky enough to get it back with little damage (thanks to anyone who tried helping) its becoming a big thing in the london/essex area recently, we really all need to come 2geva and try and stop this, who knows ? then they can check the classified for parts? advertise it as being stolen on ebay with a reward? its well known and ppl who dont use ford sites more than likely use ebay! anything is worth a try to catch these cunts. i worry about having my car nicked and putting money into it now because every half decent rs or cossie is getting stolen and no one is saying anything. These people not saying anything i hope it happens to you one day! il keep my eyes peeled and ears open mate!
