Been quiet recently, mainly due to the doubters and nay sayers but also because I've been saving like a bastard to get all the cash together to start getting my xr2 project underway.

Well this month one major part arrives, and one is being sent off to be built.

My stage 2+ bernie box arrives in two weeks and my 2.0 is being dropped off with Tommy at Field Motorsport to be rebuilt and put together with a spec that should go beyond my target power figure of 275bhp to 300bhp and then go way beyond that.

How much its finally going to produce is another matter and I'll find that out over the next couple of months....

So glad its all finally underway, once the engines arrived it will be a case of retro fitting & modifying the shell to accept the new engine & ancilleries then sending it off to be prepped & strengthened.

Surely the shell is going to be a custom carbonfibre monocoque based on the Mk2 Fiesta shape so wont need any modifications to fit the engine?

why dont you buy a scrapper of a second hand engine,,, fit that in, they you havent got such a long time to wait once your bling engine is back?
