Just upgraded to RC1 and im quite impressed. Microsoft have actually done something good, although as its beta it keeps sending them info over the internet and I dont know what its sending.

So if you don't hear from me again, they got me.

 

tried RC1, looks pretty but is VERY resource hungry.

Yeah I suppose so, this one says it expires in May 2007 but gave no explanation of what will happen then! I think it looks nice, but it runs a little bit slow, which gives me an excuse for some more memory......lol

the bloke down pcworld has told me my new laptop is vista enabled and they will send me a fee copy when it comes out. but i haven't a clue what it's all about and why i need it?

 

dunno really, I think it will be the replacement but at the moment they are testing it so its free but has expiry date. You dont really need it, but it looks nice and has some cool features.

i havent got it because im not really bothered even though my pc could easily run it , xp does a great job, and if it ain't broke....................

And whoever said do i need it, no you don't, its just Microsoft bringing out a new operating system, main differences are the "glass" effect and all visual stuff, and its meant to be abit more secure but then thats not to say xp isnt, as long as you have a decent AV and firewall you will be fine
