Default Bang for Buck?

Wot would you say, for an rs turbo, which pistons and rods would give you the best results for a decent power? Don't wanna go crazy with £800 rods and £600 pistons!

I Want about 225-250bhp

Cheers

Std rods with ARP bolts and slightly lower comp pistons will handle 250bhp all day long.... as Oranoco has in his RST

As above!
My fietsa was rolling roaded at 255bhp and 253lb with standard 1600 cvh rods and pistons. Just had 7.2:1 compression, i even had a standard head but with a decent cam! a 4x4 turbo with .63 housing, big intercooler and a decent map.
I had it live mapped so to make sure it was all sweet and it was always driven in anger, never missed a beat untill the new owner took it to brunters and just " tweaked " the boost a bit for the day and POP holed No.4 piston.
