Must agree with a lot of the comments here - never met the guy, could be a real nice fella in real life, but the impression I got was that he was a bit of a rude tosser on here. Don't mean that in a nasty way, but I never cared for how he spoke to people on here, and the manner of his posts....

I'm the ONLY SCS customer that has been interested in top speed events (not anymore)
.Of course Harvey's dyno over-reads, that's why Ford Motorsport of Europe chose to use him / it to develop the Puma Racing road / rally engines
.And that's why my shonky 515bhp / T4 car managed to hit Datron verified 180mph+ on two seperate occasions - once into 20+mph headwinds (where StevenRW did 149.9mph on a previous still day, went back with 30 MORE bhp at the WHEELS, and only managed to do 0.2mph faster in the same conditions mine did over 180 in
).The second time it did 180+mph, was in 30°C ambients, where both Bruce and Mark had spent all morning trying to crack 180mph and had FAILED. I turned up at lunch time, did 180mph straight off, didn't touch a thing (no tuner support required
) and then fucked off home leaving them scratching their heads . They then spent all afternoon tweaking the engine, upping the boost to 2.5 bar and STILL couldn't do it until they experimented with moving the braking points, and then finally at 18.00 (after the temps had cooled off somewhat and by the time I was back at home ), they finally managed to do it .Also, I seam to remember a certain 600bhp+ engine that came off Simon's dyno taking 4 or 5 seperate attempts through-out a period of 12 months at bettering 180mph, before finally succeeding with an alleged 670bhp
. But yeah, Harvey's dyno over-reads .

My engine builder uses Harveys Dyno and I know his engines are more than capable of doing what their asked.
However he has no interest in top speed runs etc.. nor do any of his customers.
When my own car is done I expect I'll attempt to put some acceleration times in but I'm not interested in top speed, I'd rather know I could lap any track very quickly than pull 170 on a runway.

Plus, Rod was banging on about how great he was and how he's proven this and that......... Did Mark Shead not build the car, and then drive it to the recorded top speed?
As far as I can see Rod appears to have funded Mark Shead's record

i dont know the guy but i heve seen him in the magazines etc but i say good on him for doing what he's done for the cosworth name cos im sick of hearing about all these skylines doing it so it was about time...
& let him boast about it aswell cos i know i would but at the end of the day its not going to be the fastest forever is it.

Persoanlly I think this is a big cover, as earlier Rod said he only wanted to come on here to sell bits. Stu then changed his name, but didn't realise we could easily work out who he was. So this giant fabricated leaving, make it look like hes gone, and he can sell his bits under his psudeo-name hasstle free.
No loss to the site really, can anybody tell us 3 positive things he contributed to the forum, apart from been the catylist for half the arguments on here, plus in his own words, nearly ruining Marks business.... good one
