Laptop Help What to buy
Im after a laptop and was wondering what is a good spec, need a pretty fast one with good memory, want a dvd rewriter, download films off internet etc etc
was looking at this one, anybody got one or have any opinions

No dells, no dells, no dells, no dells, no dells! Dont buy one from a supermarket, because if you have a problem you have to talk to someone who sells sausages for a living! Get a sony vaio, a hewlett packard, fujitsui siemens, compaq(laptops are good, desktops shite,lol)
Any of them are a good make! Acer are alright, but there aftersales services is pants(and yes I work in a computer shop, not pc world, because they just read stuff of boxes)lol!

got Ł300 for it though and will be in bins next week love the way they worded it so it was nothing like our side of the story, whatever sells them I suppose.

I've got a Sony Vaio too, but I saved money on the wife and got her a Acer 
Wish I hadn't gone for the 17" widescreen though, too bloody heavy.
I work for Fujitsu Siemens and they are very reliable and well made.

My mate bought a Sony Vaio from PC world for this very reason. When it went wrong, he took it in and they looked at him blankly and gave him a telephone number for Sonys repair service!
The Service was similar to that of Dells, so what gain!?
No question that the service of most of the companys is piss poor, but I have used lots of Dells, and have only ever had one failure. And unlike my mates Sony which was away for a fortnight, my dell was away for three days!
Not to mention the fact that Sonys are a buttload more money!
