ANy cogi gas people need help

Default ANy cogi gas people need help

i have a potterton boiler and earlier this evening went to run a bath and water was cold ,felt the radiators and they were stone cold,went to the boiler and checked to see if the pilot was alite and it wasn't so turned it off and left it for 5 mins turned the what i gather is a thermostat on the boiler and it sounded like its arckin out and finaly lit but then it runs for say anthing from 1-5 mins make a funny noise like a loose connection and cuts out,i dont want to leave it on as it's in my daughters room so have turned it off any of u have any ideas what it could be

There was a thread about this earlier this week/weekend.

I think the general consensus is the circuit boards are prone to dry soldered joints which means the joint has cracked. If you can remove the board, just go over the joints with a soldering iron and some solder.
