Starter motor??
My mates Fiesta 1.1 is having trouble starting, the battery seems ok and the car will bump start, but the satrter motor doesnt make a sound, well, normally it would just click over and over if it was the battery, but the starter motor will click once and thats it, even if its connected to another battery, so was just wondering if anyone had any other suggestions before i advise him to get another starter motor.

sounds like starter motor is knackered!
get someone to turn the key and while doing this get a hammer and hit the starter motor body/solenoid and see if it free up/works as may be due to dirty connection inside!
