Default WHEEL SPACERS.

Am trying to fit FOCUS RS BREMBOS on my SERIES 2 ESCORT RS TURBO.But unfortunatly the rims foul the calipers. They need to be spaced out about 20mm.Would these be suitable?????

Yes but using NORMAL SPACER you loose the lip on the HUB so your rims have nothig to sit on .But these HUB CENTRIC spacers keep the alloy SPACED OUT but still CENTRAL TO THE HUB.Just wanted to know if spacing a wheel 20 mm from the hub is safe ?

Will be on 205 40 17 so hopefully they should be all right.Have to measure excactly, but think it,s about 15mm clearence problem.Am i right in thinking that with these HUB CENTRIC SPACERS you bolt the SPACER to the HUB.Then bolt the WHEEL to the SPACER?

I would look more at trying to move the calipers inboard and use a set of bells/rotors with a different offset.

I had 15mm Hub Centric Spacers on my FRST but that was only to counter a set of rims with the wrong offset, I certainly wouldn't space the wheels out 20mm.

As i said above.Think it,s about 15mm.Will have to measure it to be sure. The wheels fit on if you position the spokes either side of the caliper. But when you rotate the wheel slowly it catches the outer edge where the BREMBO sticker is.

Those spacer kits on Ebay are the type that you bolt the spacer to hub and then wheel to spacer..... I 1's I've used (20mm) you just use longer studs/bolts

the problem with the 4x4 set up is that if you go deeper with the disc to try and mount the caliper in deeper it then fouls the steering arms

if you want to keep your wheels, you might be able to get a 2 piece rotor/bell and get the caliper taken in. (if room allows)
