extreme tyre wear on a si

extreme tyre wear on a si
been offered a fiesta si 1600,
but it wears a set of new front tyres out in 100 miles (kills the inner edge)
and steering is super vauge,
so is this just a case of new bottom arms, bushes and tie rod ends,
also, how much are new bottom arms, ????
also, it runs with out the airflow meter connected (he says it stalls with it pluged in) so i take it i need a new ecu plus air flow meter,
any thing else to look out for on them???
cheers, lee

It better be uber fookin cheap with all those problems.
Sounds like the wrong lower arms were fitted. Replace with the correct ones and change the top mounts etc

heres a bit more info as he hasnt given the hole lot , i have tryed 3 of my MAF's that i no all work on it , so probs has to be down to ECU , after it fucked the lower arms we put my fiesta si ones on that were mint and almost new and within a week it had killed them along with my tyers as i put my wheels on it to check it wasnt the wheels,
things i would say need replacing are:
shock springs
new lower arms
new bushes
new tie rod arms
new top monts
ECU
and a cople of other parts

Ive got a couple of 1600 Si "Guru" ecus if your after one.
As for the tyre problem its probably down to the lower arm bushs. When on a straight road and you boot it does it pull to the side?
When mine went i could literally change lanes on the motorway by acclearating hard .
When you replaced the lower arms bet you uesd cheap copys from a motorfactors. they go straight away as the bush are shite. Get some proper ford ones on there and get the tracking checked

I'd start looking at panel gaps and the like to make sure it hasn't been stuffed very hard into something solid.
This sounds like something a llot more serious than worn components

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
i used to get through bottom arms (usually motorfactor ones)every 1-2 years, but that was driving like a twat for a lot of miles. Sounds harsh. You sure there is no crash damage. As people are saying, laser alignment check and decent bushes
