went to see it on sunday. it wasnt scary but it was certainly disturbing! best one i think. the guy at the start with the big rock made me cringe!

went to see it yesterday
the gore is a bit excesive really, but you see all sorts of really fucked up shit in this one
it's more extreme than the last 2
i thought it was a bit too much at the beginning and then it sort of slowed down a little, not as good as the first one, or even the second, i think they have latched onto the franchise to make money, and fair play to them if they can make it work for another 2 films
but it's a bit too harsh for most, there were people walking out and even my stomach was rumbling a little bit (althoguh that may have been the curry i had
)
if you have a weak stomach, don't bother watching
good twists at the end but you can see them coming if you think about it

it seems to have taken the gore for the sake of upping the levels without the build up of before
the guy with the chains was a prime example
we don't know who he was or what he had done, but there were bits of him all over the place (and the mystery remained unsolved)
the woman detective was another pointless bit as was the bloke wit the foot (what happened to him then? we never found out)
the main storyline made great viewing but was overshadowed by the sub plot which, i have to say, wasn't worthy of inclusion, the flashback scenes more than made up for that and it was a much better way to tell the story
even when you could see the way things were working out, you wanted one to win and one to lose, and, at the end of the film, it all made sense, sort of

Call me cynical but I always wonder how true stuff like this actually is. The Exorcist happily sailed on a wave of publicity when rumours spread people had run out of the cinamas, had heart attacks, shat themselves etc... when non of it was strictly true, certainly not on the original screening.
Blair Witch was built on viral marketing and there was lots of stories about people running out of cinemas and passing out with that one, I simply can't believe that.
I just think it would be so easy to fake something like this or start a rumour mill going. I simply can't imagine anyone likely to pass out or flee the cinema screaming would even buy a ticket.

i watched blair witch
it was shit
my brother RAVED about it and i sat there like a muffet waiting for soemthing to happen
it's very belivable though that people were leaving half way through, there were a few green faces yesterday when we went to see it with a few mates, but that is down to the fact that the mutilations were horrific rather than clinicaly gross
drowning in rotten pig is much worse than seeing soemones head being operated on (although she went right past the black and decker stage and was full on dewalt mode
)
