Cant cure rattle..thats IT.
..changed oil...had it apart..its got good compression...good oil pressure goes fooking well...but has a rattle under 2k revs deffo pinpointed to exhaust cam area....BUT i cant be arsed with it....its another breaker Gotta get a grip..i got a mint Saff a Ferrari why the fuck do i want this?

I have taken the exhaust shield off and done what stavros said..no difference...i did however find the actuator had been wound right up so there was no more adjustment...i have put it back to half moon...noise still there and as you rev the rattle is coming from the cam area NOT the turbo IMO

When you say rattle, describe the noise:
Is it regular or irregular?
It could be the ehaust manifold gaskets and what you are hearing is the valves opening and closing.

If it's irregular I'm with Mike. Mine did it when I first fitted the T34 and was running round with no preload on the actuator.
It'll either be the gate rattling round or something loose somewhere rather than an engine problem

....yep...
...even though i got my properly built DIY engine sitting here that could go straight in!....But i cant be bothered with it...why have a cossie as a runaround..i got transit diesel for that!
