Default cosworth inlet plenums etc...

right, all these new bits (well, since i had a cossie!)like the plenum spacers and swedish inlets etc.. just wondering for wonderings sake i spose, just interested. say if you had a stg3 2wd cossie in good form, would it be worth buying one then?would it help AT ALL?or is it just a shiny thing that looks good but isnt really needed till you exceed the flow limits of the std item (430 odd bhp IIRC?). likewise with all these new fangled tubular exhaust etc. will they help at all before the limits of the std items are reached?ie stg 3,or is it just something for the megarich to worry about when there turbos are getting too big for the std manifold etc....
cheers,just wondering

I have a self built (well, made by my housemate) Swedish style plenum on my 370 (at the mo) bhp car, and despite what people say I don't believe it's affected the throttle response enough for me to notice.

Mine was partly fitted for the bling factor, but also I plan on going over 500 bhp in the near future, and at the time the Swedish style plenum could be found on many of the big power cars - if it's good enough for them it's good enough for me.

Personally I'd save my money for handling or braking mods which are probably in far more need on most shonky Fords!
