And just seeing the post from xr4x4 I have made an error. This was full zetec 16v on twin carbs.

i built the engine to be as near as standard as possible so the if/when goes wrong i can get bits fast and get out on the track again
just make sure you use a lean burn xr2 head ( it keeps the compresion up )
and block off the 3 holes at the back of the ztec block as you dont need them and if you take the car on the track it will leak oil out , as i found out
it is a piece of cake to do ,

Only got into the Ford scene to be honest. Sounds interesting, i might go down this route tbh as i was wondering for ideas with the bottom end. Was gonna fit a 1.8CVH. Anyone got MSN so we can have a chat?
