Went in Gareth Lloyds M3 CSL when at the ring.

car was awesome, seats etc are so comfy and the whole interior just looks and feels so much better than the standard M3's

And Paul, do what Gareth has done, remove the flap in the airbox, it sounds unreal

But nice car, happy for you

they are awesome cars steve...had a seat in a nice black one that we raced coming back from crail..

just think it unfair when people compare 15-20 year old sierras to brand new bmws...

its just a 3 series with some fancy wheels

Thanks chaps

Phil - that was the deal. We move to a bigger house, closer to the inlaws and I can get whatever car I can afford Now that Sam's at home looking after the nipper, I'm paying for it all anyway so there's not a lot of choice in the matter

The standard M3 is 338bhp, or 343ps.
The CSL is 355bhp, or 360ps.

The main benefit of going FLAPLESS is not having to have the damn thing fixed all the time, because they stick shut and cost you lots of performance! (and noise). That's why Gareth took his out.
With the flap installed - Noise wise you're better off using SPORT ON (sharper throttle) because it causes the flap to open fully earlier in the rev range (~3500rpm), rather than later with SPORT OFF (~6500rpm).

If you drive with SPORT ON and take the flap out, then you don't really have much of a noise gain over when it's installed and opening at 3500rpm.
