Default Anodising question

Can coloured anodised billet/alloy be affected by high heat temp's?

ie if I had an alloy turbo heat shield and anodised it black, will it fade and get fooked by the turbo heat?

The only thing that comes close to this heat the that anodised would be if you had an aeroquip oil feed pipe connectors?

think you would have problems with it like cracking (the anodise) but it would depend the amount of ľ (microns) that have been put on it

my old company did hard black anodise a turbo. but they never were told of what the results of it was. so im not 100%

best thing to do is contact a surface treatments/ metal plating company

Im sure that anodising dont fade.. it just turns 'white' no matter what colour it is....

Only going by what ive seen, when working on aircraft parts

If I had a turbo heatshield, Id get the under side covered in that foil type stuff, and have the top painted if I wanted it painted..
