I wonder what reception i'd get coming on here and pointing out how many Fords i've steamed past recently - its just not necessary. Obviously there are heavily modified cars representing pretty much all marques available.

Its a RS Turbo lads its done, gone & dusted as a modern Performance car. Its OK on here cos there are others of the same ilk. Be proud of your car by all means & you may even think its fast, but as a alround Performance car it cant compare to even a lightly modded Scoob. I remember a standard P1 holding MAD's 400bhp Escort around a circuit , nowt in it . In a straight line the Escort would blast it. They are weapons those P1's even as standard.

The thing with RS Turbos, is people are ALWAYS banging on about how quick they are cause they drive like a twat on the road and manage to pass a stadnard car, but the moment they get to a trackday or dragstrip a load of corsa and novas go flying past them every time

Sorry but if the Scoob is the XR3i your Cossie is 1950's A35, there are lots because they are good as the XR3i was 25 years ago, thats the point the car you drive is almost 20 years old & shows it. Give me a Scoob over a veteran car anyday if im going to use it for general drivin. I never compare my Cossie to something like a P1 or a EVO cos you cant, perhaps you lads are in a timewarp.

We buy old RS's because were fans of the cars, the history of RS models, the rallying successes blah blah blah
not because their the most superior car on the road with neither the RS or the impreza is (dunno what is right enough). but my car isnt tuned so i can waste imprezas or whatever else, i enjoy the driving experience of the car and im interested in all the bumf listed above.
we like fords for our reasons, they like imprezas for their reasons, its not like buying an impreza makes you an arrogant twat....BMW's do that as a standard fitment (borrowing hypothetical flame suit from scoobynet user)
Who gives a toss really its just us pissing about on the internet
