It's a pig to fit. You'd be better off with a 2.0 zetec.

why is it a pig to fit measurements are the same - its just about finding the right mounts etc

the rest is simple enough and a bit of time

The Rs2000 engine is all steel and was never fitted to a fiesta. The ZETEC was fitted to fiestas, has an alloy head, is easier to tune, spares are cheaper and engines are cheaper. Why waste time and money on second best?

The inlet doesn't fit so you'd have to convert to carbs/throttle bodies.

The engine mount is a different design hence you'd have to make one up from scratch.

The gearbox is an MTX75 which will prove dificult to fit into a Fiesta XR2, and if you want to run a BC box out the XR2 or an RST or something you'll need to use a 220mm flywheel like the XR2i or something which would require drilling to fit.

Why go through all that hassle? When a zetec is cheaper to buy, lighter and literally drops right in?

The I4 also weighs a ton and won't do you any favours in the handling stakes with all that extra weight over the nose. 2.0 Zetec really is th ebest option for you

ive already got a i4 on bodies with the management waiting

gearbox you use a s1/s2/diesel or u can have a ib5 on there you just need to get the starter that goes on the rear of the zetec to fit

you dont need to a custom mount ive managed to find out what one you need - flywheel is ??? at the mo

iam going to give it a go starting this weekend myself but its not in an xr2
