I get emails with pictures in them i.e. the ebay mails notifing of new items for sale, all of a sudden i cant see the picture in the mails any more??

I know its something to do with the firewall (Norton) i have, but what??

I had this problem, can't remember how i sorted it though.

I had to lower the virus protection on emails though.

 

i get the same can see pic's with my pop3 mail .. but i can with my hotmail

Nope, just tried it.

I think its the settings but dunno what ones.

tools then
internet options

click on advanced tab

scroll down to multimedia subheading using scroll bar
and make sure the show picturs box is checked

 

Yip done that, twas already checked.

The best solution if you have IE conflicts, appears to be a complete
uninstallation of your Norton Products suite.
After you are finished uninstalling your Norton products,
- Reboot
- Verify that you are able to view images on webpages
- Make sure that the Internet Firewall that is built into Windows XP
