Default Oil cooler fans

Only place my oil cooler could be fitted was here

Ive therefore bought some square 12v pc fans to fit on it (as its clear at the bottom).

Im guessing I wont run into any probs having the fans on all the time the car is on, as people that have front mount oil coolers, the cooler is always seeing massive airflow anyway.

So, that aside, where would be a good place for me to pick up the 12v rail from?

You will need to run an oil stat if youre gonna leave a fan on all the time, you should run one anyway with an oil cooler. Can you not angle the cooler more to get some airflow through it?

mine fitted nicely under the drivers side wheel arch bit of ally plate to direct air over it .. jobs a goodun
i would take 12v from the battery to a switch inside the car.. fused of course .. or have it switched from position 2 on the ignition via a relay so they run when the car is running...

you can fit them under inner wing on drivers side - same place as the washer bottle is on passenger.

What temps are you seeing? You dont need to worry unless ur hitting 120 ish.

Stu

What do your oil temps acutually get to??

I think you'll find it actually works ok where it is- its not the traditional apparoach but as its under the vent air escapes through it anyway that comes through the front of the car- thats actually the point of the vents- I saw a picture once which shows the flow through the front of the car and through the vents......
