Yes wanted to use the escort throttle body for a different look with the cossie managment, got the iscv tucked away for a cleaner look,i have the bailey breather on mine ,the alloy pipe to the filter is from auto specialists in essex ,no reason for the escort crossover ,just prefer it thats all ,hope this helps

read pf and your main rival and take it yours is the mercury grey rst that did quite well at the shoot out ,considering the specs you were up against, remember reading the spec and you were running a standard turbo, which has now been uprated. but i kind of got the idea from the article that the gotech management was a modified mfi set up,have you changed this to efi since or am i just a bit thick cos at the time of reading just thought you were running silly boost on a standard motor with a fuel tweek
Not at a different angle, just bigger to accept the EFi injectors.

Yep, thats the one mate.
It was running high-ish boost on the MFi set-up, then we switched to EFi (using a modified MFi inlet) when we fitted the Gotech, still running high-ish boost, now we've gone for a different turbo and manifold, some more boost and a re-map. It goes quite well now, but there's still more to come with a few more changes

Got to do something with the bottom end at some point as well as it's still standard
imagine it would go quite well now,not going to ask about the ins and outs of gotech, but take it it is a stand alone efi set up.
i remember jamies old mk3 feature with the turbo blowing through bodies back in the day when most were just fitting a 5th injector for big power, dont know him personally but respect his work.one of the top men in the escort rst scene
as for the bottom end bud,if its taken it this long with the power and abuse its had, wait till it starts rattling then sort it ,just hope it doesnt take anything with it to its oily grave
so we going to get a feature on how to build the sorted bottom end on a budget then, hope pf keep it real because i would hate to see the ford mags go the same way as lax power and the rest, most of your readers dont have the megabucks budgets of the feature cars in the mags,i will always have more respect for someone who has built their car to a good spec on a tight budget doing a lot of work themselves than someone who puts it into a garage and hands over their chequebook
i'm no trained mech or bodyshop specialist but have built my car from a bare shell, painted it myself (almost)have done every mod myself, with what i have learned off mates over the years and with a bit of research on the ford forums if i was stuck ,they are a helpful bunch sometimes .
hope you know where i am coming from, sure you do because your motor isnt a chequebook car yet, dont see no zetec, with custom this custom that gt471/2 carlos fandango hybrid turbo, munches a gearbox before breakfast but fuck it jock down the garage can fit one in half an hour if i pay him well type project
think most would be happy with a few well written articles on how to mildly upgrade and look after their cherished auld fordys tbh, enough, was going to delete this as i dont even know where i was going with it, but cant be fucked cos it took me so long to type

had a look at the thread think the wheels are fine btw, better than sticking on 7 spokes(even though they are nice, too common now)like seems the norm now
love the bay, mine will be similar i hope, but not the same

cheers mate will probably need a few closeups when i get into it,my car was efi once upon a time so all of the fitting holes should be there, but not sure of the proper position of a few of the bits and bobs under the bonnet, got the interior loom fitted and know where most of the plugs under the bonnet go but might struggle with a few
