The perks of working for Mercedes! lol
Just spent my lunch break having a look round and sitting in the new Mercedes McLaren SLR.
Production car number 3 to be precise........ mmmmmmmm me wants one.
The most expensive Mercedes ever built, costs £313,000 to buy, if you place an order today it will be ready in 2006 and you have to put down a £25,000 deposit
Got loads of pics on my camera, will post them when I finish work later tonight.

I have a feeling Security and the local Police who came over to look at it would have had something to say about that!
The bonnet opens from the back upwards and is huuuge, looks like the bat mobile with the bonnet and doors all up at the same time pmsl

They are well phat motors hopefully i ll get to see one in the flesh sometime. My mate is Merc mechanic and i so envy him . He's same age as me (21) and gets to take SL55 AMG's etc.. out on road test the lucky cunt . At least he wont get to drive the SLR as from what he said they have there very own workshop just for the SLR's in high wycombe i think.
also i thought the Maybach was the most expensive merc and the most expensive production car ever?
and just to add id have an CLK DTM AMG over an SLR personally

But I fucking hate Mercs
no it's not a jealousy thing or whatever - I hate them from a professional capacity.... In as far as I think they are amoung the WORST engineered cars on the planet
No really, they are full of such shit design nightmares!
Scuttle panel design beggers belief, the front and rear screen trims (nearly ALL models) are a fooking JOKE, whoever designed the door window mechanisms needs to be ass fucked all night long
But they do have one saving grace - the fixed vent window in rear doors on 95% of saloon models only take 10 mins to fit

Dickie, no im not based at Tongwell, that's DCUK, im on the same road, but the other side of the city at Caldecotte.
But where you are going to the Training Centre, during your lunch break, if you walk round to the front of the main buildings, they have another SLR there today.
Thrush............. try having to explain to a Customer that broken Sprinter Air vents are their responsibility to pay for not Warranty They all bloody break!!!!!!!
