i think its fair to say ford left a huge void when they stopped making the cosworth marque.unfortunately until recently they havent entertained making anything remotely interesting for the petrol heads until the focus rs.why they havent stepped up to the mark and done a 300 bhp 4x4 car ill never know, but this is why people are turning towards the evo's/subarus as they are newer than the"old" cosworths which to be fair are not really an every day car nowadays.

i love cossies and will always be in the ford scene, but cant help but appreciate the subaru/evo cars for what they are.

Jay It's also interesting to see that most Ford owners going over to the dark side, seem to choose Evos over Scoobs.

what happened was i rushed in and bought an evo 4,THEN,did some research into them to find that they suffer from the crank moving about(which i was actually prewarned about on here-but did i listen?).the car is still in daily use with a slight bottom end rumble-going to take sump off to ascess condition some time this week.already got an engine lined up if req so not the end of the world.

i also have a nice impreza which is also fun to drive but i do like the smoothness of the evo and quick pick up-even though it is standard.

Get rid of the scooby and just play about with the evo and if still not happy then get a cossie.

thats not totally true. be honest. the evo 5 onwards is still a lovely looking car, maybe with the exception of the 7 being a bit bland compared to the others.the skylines are a stunning motor r32 onward and the rx7 is a work of art and stands out due to its batmoblie looks, thats just a few.but yeah an rs has a certain character that the japs dont have.
