Default tyre info

just been looking at some new tyres they are 225/40/18, but what does the following gumph actually mean? xl, bsw is the xl extra load?

In clothing term's it mean's extra large.

40 is % height of the sidewall in relation to the width( = 90mm)
18 is the rim diameter in inches

YES i do know what the 225 bit means,lol, if they are reinforced sidewalls does that mean they are the run flat type then?

most of the big rubber is extra load or reinforceb now
