Great cars and proving to be popular but no way will they have classic status like the ford cosworths...

The wont have classic status like S1 RS turbos either...

Well actually i did mean the classic 5/6 shape really, i think if Cossys had a foreign penpal it would be an Evo 5/6....both make a similiar statement in style and power for the money.

so your telling me you would rather drive an evo6 around the ring than say mike rainbirds escos or something like the new reyland escos?..... get a grip

i agree with you TSD

but only to a certain extent, the old mans got a 4 as you no, and it turns heads every where (even if every one does think ts a 6 )

and it may only be 10 years old but there less common than an escort cosworth, and they are miles better to drive, gear change, driving position, every thing is perfect.
i think it does help that the old mans is in mint condition, but there just better cars, and im a ford man at hart.

on the other hand, if ford had continued the rs range, they would almost certanly be better cars than the evo at current date,

consider how much better the escort cosworth is compaired to say an evo one,

or a 3 door compared to a lancer 2000 turbo.

two sides to the coin, but i garentee when ever you cossie boys see a 4-5 or 6 you have a good loook (not the later ones because they shit )

id have a 4 5 or 6 over a cossie any day

and who the fcuk you calling a prick im merely retaliating to someone elses response

so its perfectly plausible to say that a standard tommi mak evo6 is gonna be a better car on the ring?

your on glue, why put a post up if you cant take any retaliating comments?

yet another jumped up tosser no doubt

Dicko&Sarah

you can see from the message in your sig that you have some kind of problem with evos, pehaps you get beat by them all the time, or just cant afford one,
either way, its a public forum, and people are entitled to an opinion,

just think its a bit pathetic that a grown man (or woman) cant have a sensible conversation over a computer )

What a joker comparing a standard 6 with a Reyland bespoke 1 off car that took 9 month or so to make and probs has only a handful of standard parts left on it - classic!

no problem at all just infuriating that this FORD forum is full of idiots who seem to moan when they ask an opinion about an evo and get anything other than positive comments,

and yep, im entitled an opinion and thats what im having.... not my fault he cant take it and spat his dummy out

as for cant afford one, dont make me laugh, wouldnt have one if it was given mate

so have you driven one,

and he didnt spit his dumy out due to negative comments,

just think alot off people on here need to realise that fords arent the best car in the world

im sure if you actually drove a evo, youd realise that perhaps they easily capable of upsetting a saph cossie,

not sticking up for either side, just saying

whats driving one got to do with it?

and its blatantly obvious from the replies that he did......

fords may not be the best cars in the world.... but theyre defo higher up in the ratings than evo's imho

and as for upsetting a saph, im yet to find one that can around here

i was refering ot you, have you driven one,

so what power you running???
you would have to be running upwards of 300bhp, and have a very sorted handling packege to easily beat a standard one, and im sure a moddified one (such as tango delta seirras ) would have no trouble beating a t34 equiped saph

That's maybe down to Mike's driving tho

D&S
I went to the ring in RW's evo and we went with Mike in his esc. You'd be surprised at the lap times i think
If the TME had the same hp as the esc then it would be a serious whooping

I'm cracking up at how many just base a car on looks and not performance..... who cares whether the car is a head-turner

When you think the first scooby impreza and evo 1 are the same age as late 4x4 saff,,and they go unoticed, and ppl on here that are old enough will tell you the 3dr and escos turned many heads when new as they were never produced in great numbers like new age jap cars,

REDKOP if we base this topic on performance/handeling we know the japs will win,20yr newer technoligy (sp) but why if cossies are so bad does every other performance car owner nearly always compare there car to a cossie ?

Probably because cosworths [especially the Escos] were THE car before the Japs started to build cars to try & match them .... ie Evos and Scoobs as an everyday performance car. It's just a damn shame that Ford bowed out in 1996 and the Japs just kept on evolving.
