Got cautioned today for having the arse end of a Polo I am selling on zig zags after a crossing! Cant believe it, I hold my hands up and admit I was in the wrong but think a bit common sense would have done and a ticking off rather than 3 points.

What makes it worse is that when I was pulled I was really polite and apologised but the male officer had a new inexperienced female officer in the car and it was clear he was giving it 'Charlie Big Potatoes' infront of her (fairly sure he had a touch of Small Man Syndrome too). He told me that the tyres were almost ready to be changed too, and amazingly when I asked what the legal limit was he said 'Im not sure, I think its 1.5mm'. He's not sure?!?!?! Thats a bit worrying isnt it?? I mentioned that I think its 1.6mm and he didnt seem too impressed.

Sorry to any of the good Coppers out there, but the minority of egomaniacs like this nob was really give a bad impression of the Police in general. Oh, and I cant find my paper bit of my licence, so its not looking good for producing!!

if your car isn't on the zig zags he can't do anything, if he dones't know what the legal limit on tyres is he shouldn't be out coppering new recruits either

Tested the tyres last night with a guage and there is almost 4mm of tread on the fookers!!!
