if your converting, you normally still use the phase sensor in the dizzy

pectel sell a board for the p8, so you need that, a coil pack, wrc leads, another ignition amp, and a small bit of wiring

you need two ignition amps to drive both sides of the coil pack!

YOU DONT HAVE TO HAVE ALL THAT, IT IS THE BEST WAY THO
(without the dizzy)

IMO i wouldnt use the std phase sensor as you have a coil pack (in theroy) and dont want to see a dizzy still in the block, so convert it to run a cam sensor! This will give the added reliablity of a none moving part. Unlike the type inside a dizzy that can wear and fail.
This way all that can happen is the sensor stops working.
With a dizzy the phase sensor wears away slowly and can cause misfires bad running etc... over a long period.

BLANK OFF THE DIZZY

but if you are doign it from a cam sensor, you have to have a boss to hold the zetec sesnor the right distance from the cam, you need to have you cam modified to have two strickers 90 degrees apart, and you need to mess about with another piece of wiring,,,, where the engine phase sensor and wiring is already there

You dont need a P8 for a start that save loads of $$$$

You dont need a issue 3 pectel board again saving $$$$

Or the extra wiring just modded

THE LEADS AND COIL PACK YOU OBVIOUSLY NEED

Fair enough you didnt say about an issue 3 board sorry

But with a P8 you would need at least a Issue1 pectel board. The wiring..... most would rather pay for than make. It is very easy but most shy away.

didnt even see your post this morning,,, you still need to run a phase sensor,, either the one in the dizzy or one off the cams like a wrc car,,, but if you run off cams,, you do need a propper blanker/oil pump driver like stu and brom said

happy holiday stu

No probs Mark and Gus..

More boost as well as a .75mm plug gap eh Gus?

Im glad i dont know why you need more boost as i fear such information would plague my mind and ruin what has the potential to be a fine week in the scorching sun...
