Default STONECHIP ON HEADLIGHT....MOT FAILURE????

My saph 4x4 has a very small stonechip on the passenger side headlight will it fail its mot???cheers

If it's holed the lens then yes, if it's just a chip then no.

the previous owner said it had passed the last 2 mot's like it but id like to make sure before it goes in

If the pattern of light is un-affected then it will not fail the MOT

as long as no sharp shards of glass are exposed its ok, if it was a rear then it would fail, as white light coulde get through the red filter of the lens.

mine passed with 2 holes in teh front fogs the othe month and i even asked them before taking it in if i needed to replace them before hand - they said no, i have since replaced both of them now though.
