now they are saying the card cannot be used and it will take 7 working days for me to be issued with a new one, so i'm possibly NOT going to get one for this coming saturday when i need it and i can't buy shit because i will have no way to get money out of the bank without it

a posible solution yes, but i am at work, so i cannot go to the bank
the card does not work so i cannot withdraw any money (do you know how embaressing it is waiting at tescos and having to leave your trolley full of stuff there because you can't pay? and everyone looks at you like you have been caught trying to use a bogus card?)
i'm not sure i would want to be walking baout the streets with the thick end of Ł5k in my pockets after takig it out of the bank (i i couldget ot eh bank in time)

and i can't go home to look up the banks phone number to find out whats been going on and if i can send someone else instead of me to get money out because i'm at work at the computer access is restricted

unles someoe can find out what the hsbc's number is?

Did this to me once.

I bought somthing expensive over the net so after seeing that the bank decided to stop my card as it wasn't "in my usual spending pattern".

Security measures like this are fine as they protect my money....

But in this instance the first thing i knew about it was trying to pay at the garage after brimming the tank on my car 50 miles from home with no other form of payment!!

I felt like such a cock to have my card rejected. Fuck did i rip into the poor sod from the bank on the phone when i got home.

this happend to me , lost my bank card a week later had a letter sayin my accunt had be closed to to fraddent cheque or something i fort i had lost my card in my house oh well my accont got closed had a letter sayin i could go remove any money in there so need to make a new one lol

very funny

no, seriosuly now, no joking aside, i called my boss and told him i had to go to the bank to short this shit out (always cover your back )

gone ot the bank (shanks's as i've got all of 18p in my pocket)

waited in the queue and then got told i was in the wrong queue

waited in another queue only to be told that the queue i was waiting in was for the bell that didn't work and i would have to go to the other queue to talk to customer services

got in and the door doesn't close, so you have to discuss your business with all and sundrey listening in

closed the door

told her what happened

she was very apologetic and looked at her computer screen

after lots of faffing about, the card was stopped yesterday, the letter saying the card has been stopped was sent out yesterday, the new card was sent out this morning when i called

i am now waiting for the new card to arrive, everything will be the same when it does but i will still have to "test" it in an atm
