Default Tesco Internet Phones

Myself and Evil Diamonds got ourselves a couple of the things.....

Both got our own numbers etc etc....

He installed his before me, because i wasnt at home at the time to do so...
We had over a hour long conversation from a house phone to his internet phone, no problems what so ever....

However, i came back home today, installed it, it messed up, so had to uninstall it..... by doing that, i had then lost £5 of free top-up credit that you get for it, as its only free from tesco phone to tesco phone.....

Ever since i re-installed it, its been fine, apart from one major problem....

About every 10-15 seconds it cuts out for about 5-8 seconds..... On his end he can hear what is apparently a 'high pitched noise' whereas my end it just goes silent......

And on the call timer thing on the tesco's window itself on my laptop, the counter freezes and then jumps 5-8 ahead when it catches up with itself....

Basically, i wanted to know if anyone else have encountered these problems or something familiar, because we have been trying to figure it out for the past hour now, and its doing my head in now

Maybe the router's the problem, Mine is a Netgear rangemax 240mpbs! (although I dont know what my other pc actually recieves, but it app can be found across the road ) the connection can be very good but it's capabilities may not!

I dont know very much about them tbh, but I know i'll probably have a fried brain in 5 yrs time with the power of mine Wireless routers are known to have a very slow connection!

thats as far as my ability's to explain go
