Greenlight certainly rank highly amongst insurance companies that know their stuff about modified cars.

I moved away from them this year and went with Boncaster, but only because of the typical dog-eat-dog market of insurance sales. I will certainly give Greenlight another go at it next year as I received nothing but great service from them.

They werent even competitive with me unfortunatly, but they were up frount and said they wouldnt even get close to my renewal so didnt waste my time. A shame they couldnt help really as I had heard good things, but on the face of it Adrian Flux have yet to be beaten.

Yep, phoned greenlight as my 3rd company I think

Started going through EVERY mod, even down to pistons/management/engine internals, turbo, EVERYTHING basically.

Chap went away and came back with a quote I couldnt turn down. As Tony is on here, and a lot of u use him, I phoned up as soon as I had the car and insured it straight away.

Awesome.

I had a great quote, took out the policy with them. Subsequently sold the car, cancelled and had a few problems and consequently not the greatest of service.

I'm sure its just a personal experience, but I won't be using them again.

Sorry, just my two pence worth, for every good tale there's a bad one to match.

Cheers

Matt

I'm sorry to hear that you were unhappy when you cancelled your policy.

We purely deal with underwriters/insurers that offer annual Insurance policies, some of the Underwriters have a levy which if cancelled within the first year their charges would be a % of the annual premium rather just charging on a day-by-day basis.

This reflects the heavy admin for all concerned in the first year, the second year (ie. renewal) involves far less admin and you will receive the day-by-day (pro-rata) cancellation rate.

You will also find the renewal premium will usually reduce year on year to reflect your driving experience and the reduction in administration.

Once again, sorry to hear that you were unhappy.

Kind regards

Tony

Tony, thanks for the reply. The only thing I am unhappy about is the way the loan agreement was described to me when I took out the policy. Finding out I owe the credit company over £200 and will be paying this until next April is rather annoying. I don't believe this was explained properly to me and therefore mis sold and mis represented.

Greenlight themselves I had no issues with the quote or the service in getting the car covered and I would recommend you to other people, just personally, I felt let down.

Sorry for the post hijack.

Regards

Matt
