How would you clean a filthy dizzy???

cheep and cheerfull works ok ...
i use rocol electra clean spray for electric parts ..

but wd40 works fine and dandy

i think he means the caps been off for a while
..ie the inside is dirty ponder..
is so still give it a good spray with the wd40 dont wipe it off afterwards ..
or if its really dirty spray wipe clean..respray then put the cap dizzy back on ...job done

dizie cleaner
carb/intake cleaner is what i use to clean, because its a solvent thus degreaser etc. Then would build up the distributor using engine oil on moving parts, then when finished apply WD40 to reprotect.
