i am in the process of fittng an FRST engine into a 1.3 fiesta, the donor car ran but smoked, the owner had been told when he brought it that the valve stem seals had gone.

fitted the engine and redid the valve stem seals and it still smoked.... turned out the head gasket had gone and the turbo seals had gone.

so we rebuilt the turbo, had the head skimed and pressure tested and fitted all new gaskets.

fired it up for the first time after fixing it all last night and the car is billowing out white smoke and idling really quickly.

any ideas on what could be causing it? really pi$$ing us off know as its just one thing afetr another! gotta do another compression test on it at some point over weekend but any other things i could be missing thats really obvious?
