What is the best laptime of mike rainbirds escort at the ring??
Anything under 9 minutes at the ring is pretty fast for any car but it's proper fast for a old ford.

I always thought that you need decent horsepower at the ring because of the faster sections.
Anway the ring is just a racetrack afterall this is still a street car not track car for now.

The cornering speed is the most importand this the diffrents between a normal driver like you and good driver like mike rainbird or steve scott.

I've been timed properly once and did 8.07 bridge to gantry.
There was only one section that I had to briefly slow down for (but it was one of the fastest sections so would have lost us 3-5s and the rest was TOTALLY on it. I think that 8 minutes dead is the limit of the car and driver in it's current format - maybe under 8 with some more laps and better tyres.

Mr Rainbow I am sorry I do not understand your comment about the 'menu' of cars. She has a Peugeot 106 Zest 1.3 with a K&N air filter on it, and it is quite quick actually. She recorded that time in 2005 September with 3 people in her car.
