Slight traction issue there!

Although it does go some when it hooks up. If I was to have one it would have to be an estate, I can remember when they entered 850 estates in the BTCC, was mental!

There is something slighty sexual about a 5 cylinder turbo sound

I've got a V70 T5 and did my advanced driving in one, but I much prefer driving my Sapphire Cosworth, far more fun in my opinion.

I love my T5's 850R & V70R's, top cars & so practical as well.

My V70R which sounds awesome & goes well for an estate car, love it best car i've ever had.

300bhp out of the box, AWD, adaptive suspension with comfort, sport & advance modes at the touch of a button on the dash it stiffens up 0-60 5.9sec out of the box, 6 speed manual, limited to 155mph, massive Brembo brakes 330mm front & rear discs , just picked my new wardrobe up from Ikea seats down straight in the car no worries fookin love it the best thing of all is it really just looks like any old Volvo estate bit of aQ car

MAD is modifying a Volvo V70 (Think thats right) its going to be over 500bhp & on Autronics. Its a Local Volvo Dealers car who also owns a MAD Tuned EVO, previously he owned a MAD Cosworth. Now that is Mad.

According to Volvotuning.com a new V70R like mine will take upto 450bhp approx on standard internals anyway.

The V70R is a very good car, no denying it and yours looks very nice. can be a bit pricey though if you puncture a tyre with the AWD system as you'll have to replace all four at the same time.

I'd also be a bit wary about what VT claim, as theire have been some interesting discussions about them on the volvo owners club forum.

The issue I have is with the T5 is they are so quite and smooth they get a bit boring to drive in comparison to my Cosworth, but all in a cracking car with bullet proof engines at some good prices second hand.

My V70R is a family car i have 2 kids & need an estate car it won't be getting modified , its perfect for crusing down through the south of France on family holidays, i've had plenty of performance cars including 3 cossies & M3's, i want a comfy car for everyday driving not a crappy boneshaker cossie. oh by the way i have 3dr cossie too but only gets used on trackdays now as its too noisey/bumpy for the road !

I must be having a mid life crisis Simon, at least that what the missus says. But give me my crappy bone shaker Cossie everytime. I have two estate cars, my V70 T5 and Vauxhall Omega as I have 3 dogs and two kids so couldn't really be without an estate, and to be honest find them useful for all sorts of jobs.
Point taken about long journeys though with the kids etc, as I use the Volvo for those sorts of runs.

Only kidding i do love Cossie's but after 10yrs of owning various Cossies i have got fed up with driving noisey cars on the road, think i'm just getting old. like doing the odd trackday in it but thats about it now, much rather go somewhere in the Volvo, sometimes feel a bit of a chav driving a cossie if you know what i mean even though i really do have a passion for cossies !

the v70r is a boneshaking ride to compared to the others

must admit having driven all of em they are nice cars, the t5 aint a slow car by any means,,,,,,,,, its a little quiet though and is somewhat boring when driving but thats cause you aint holding on to the steering wheel trying to keep it ina straight line after 120mph

oh and if you do get a t5, pop into your local dealer and ask for police spec bushes !!!!, there alot harser a ride but allow manovering at high speeds, there a harder spec than the R bushes too

gonna be fun when they release the straight 6 turbo in there range ( but think they stopping the "R" badge for now, been a few months since i worked at volvo)

when that happens you can bet ford relese the focus RS to get rid of the old volvo AWD "R" engines and running gear

enough rambling though !!!

I love my Volvo's. Currently on my 3rd 850, and value for money relative to tuned performance there is nothing to beat it.
