Anyone got/had a Clifford Concept 600 Alarm??
My alarm is an absolute pain in the arse!
It was already on my car when i brought it so i dont know much about it.
Anyway this morning at about 1:30am the damn thing was going off constantly for no reason.... i got up and moved my car (cause sometimes it goes off if a car is parked too close) but it still kept on going off... So i had to lock the car and leave it unarmed...
Anyone know what could be wrong with the damn thing?!
All windows were closed, boot was secure, bonnet was down properly....
Its done it before in the middle of the day and i had to turn it off completely then...

It was fitted by a good installer... i got all the paperwork for it... its just strange that its only done it twice... about 2 months ago and last nite... bloody thing!
But yeah think i'll take it somewhere to have it all checked over and maybe re programmed cause i dont know how to use the damn thing anyway!!

Best thing is to get a laptop on it with the cliffnet wizard it will tell you what sensor triggered it then.
As Stu says though, almost certainly down to bad instalation, just cause somoene charged a load of money to fit it does NOT mean they did it properly!

No it werent raining... cars werent parked close... literally nothing i could think of could have been setting it off...
And it werent even just the once it would stop and start constantly! until i finally got out of bed, put some clothes on and went to the damn thing!
Then i moved it to a better parking space and still did it!
Just strange that every couple of months it does it... but once u lock the car without arming it and leave it for a good few hours its fine again..
Will have to get it checked out! I'll try the re-call thing if it does it during the day!

I had this one night with my Escort Cossie, the alarm just kept going off for no apparent reason.
Next morning, found a dead wasp in the car.
Dont know if that was what had been setting the alarm off but it never did it again after that.

As Stu says.. So many installers fit these in soo badly and get away with it fgiving the brand a bad name.
I had my last clifford in 2 cars over 6 years and never had a problem. Had a time it would go off on it;s own but the installer resolved this.

had one on my evo 6 with intellistart: clifford bonnet pin switches are renowed for failing in the rain and shorting out , the number flashes on the led will tell you what caused it, another one i had was after changingthe bonnet switch (which was incidently manky) that the led flashes STILL said bonnet pin..... turned ou to be the trigger wire, where it had been run through the bulkhead it was on the outside edge of a grommet and had fridged through to the bare metal , short to ground = bonnet open or so the G4 ecu thinks....
as above, its all down to how well they haev been installed, i do miss some of the nice features when they are working right and definatley miss the intellistart
