Default European Ford Event - Netherlands 10/09/06 (56k wanring!)

what a weekend! flew out to holland friday with a mate to stay with a fella we know from the xrtwo.com forum, what a weekend! out on the piss friday night, chilling at 'the speedshop' saturday, then the show on sunday! big up to martein and all the dutch fellas if youre reading this!!

f*cking camera packed in 1/2 way round the show so missed out on alot of cool pics, hopefully martein will have got them on his camera!

weather was awesome though, apparently its the best weather theyve had over there in weeks, upto recently its been pissing with rain everyday! so we were really lucky. made the show even better. were some proper cool cars there, really intersting and original ideas....some proper gash ones aswell though :blub: heres a few of the ones i got before the camera went tits up.

an AWESOME mk2 fiesta we saw on the way! martein thought it would be racing at a track on the way to efe, and must have been right as it wasnt at the show. shame as it looked like a total animal! cossie badge on the back and looks very rwd!!

mint mk1 fiesta

gt and gt40!

cool yellow escos

some smart 3doors, loving the pearl paint aswell! looked awesome!

couple of smart mk1s

rimage

cool galaxy

fresh looking mk2 on rs 4 spokes

this car was awesome, capri with a supercharged rs2000 lump!!! proper cool!

some smart mk3s

old school!

loved this capri!

couple of cool estates! there were loads there, most looking pretty smart i must say!

very cool focus ST

mk2 xr2 with some pretty interesting bodywork...

sweet escos with some proeper smart carbon bits!

escos and saph owned by father and son? the saph was in fast ford a few months back, both looking proper smart

minty mint low milage xr!

mk2 sierra 3 door! apparently theres loads of em over there!

nice focus

cool ST

escos

Z-S and a puma with lepard skin detailing! very different, very cool imo too!

cool mk3 cabby

saw this mk1 turn up in the morning and we all went "cool!" then realised that its actually just 12/13" steels, with 16" or so wheel trims. shame really as its a bit sh!t, but does look cool.

couple of mega cool escos's by a company called gabat, soooo f*cking smart, and the blue one runs 720bhp :blub: was a liiiiitle bit quick up the sprint strip! looked sooo f*cking hard though.

another couple of smart escos's

mk2 xr2, looks familier, sure ive seen pics of it on the net before. ran a bit rough but they had in on the mobile rollers tweaking it and messing with jets. seemed to sound like it had a fair ammount of grunt when they were running it up on the rollers.

quick sierra estate!

sierra drift car

mk3 escort, seemed pretty rapid!

mk3 with mega rare 16v cvh!! was unfinished but looked like itd be pretty handy when uptogether. very very cool!

another mk3 but with a turbo motor, very interesting inlet. was an mfi unit that had the 90o bend chopped out, and the plenum layed flat welded to the manifold! dont know what sort of benfit this would give, perhaps better airflow? not quite sure. still, f*cking neat!

finally, just before my camera died, mk2 fiesta with cossie V6! looked rough as arseholes and was very diy but my hat goes off to the builder, it sure was quick!

and thats where the camera died! really annoyed as there were some awesome motors i never got to take pics of. still, was a brilliant day/weekend and hoping to go back next year, but in the xr!

was suprised how many none RS/cosworths there were there, they were out numbered by numerous other models! still a very good show. best bit is that everyone is welcome into the show ground, the only cars that done come into the show are none fords! such a good idea.

anyone else go over for it?

The green Escort Cossie and the green Saph are both Ellmer Autosport build cars.

The green escort is Guidos Car, the others belonged to his father in law, but it was recently sold to a mate. The black one with the golden rims and carbon parts is also ELLMER Autosport build. ... nearly all good german cossies come from him

Hi there,

Those MK3 Escorts are from some mates of mine.
The one with the CVH with 16v head belongs to a German with a nick Prof Futzemann. Apparently he had very good contacts with the motorsport division of Ford. The 16v head was developed by Ford , They made a few , but he's got the only one which wasn't destroyed a Ford binned the development.
But this should be a real arse kicker when ready. Haltech management and some more things for making a car quicker should let the thing fly at track at Zolder and the Nordschleife.
The MK3 RST is an motorsport one with lot's of originally Ford motorsport parts. Don't know much of the details. Just a shame he can't get it to run properly.

Maybe you saw my car too? State blue estate on 17's RS alloys?

Nice to hear you've liked the show. That's why we do it for.
Hope to see y'all next year.

Grtz

Futzemanns site with pics and vids of his Mk3s is here:

http://www.rs1600i.de/

Looked like a good show - I didn't make it this year, stayed at the Nordschleife instead.

eBay.de is useful for leads, but best place in the UK is www.dubmeister.co.uk as they import 'em direct.

The engine is stroked to 2,3 litre.

Aha, that explains why I lost the finals against you with just a 300bhp setup..... still not bad my 6.54 sec against your 6.06 sec! You just beat me before the line..

But seriously the track was far too short for a powerfull car like yours, but it was sure fun! Do you have some filmmaterial of it?

Cheers, YBJ

@ mr. ford

i don´t know the size of the injectors. Because the engine is completely built by Gabat-Tuning. I´m "only" the driver.

@ YBJ

I hope you get a good power and torque output on the rollers. Your car looks like it has also a very good performance.

I have no film material of the landgraaf event.

@ cossiemen

yes, i don´t know.

For me it´s important the power- and torquecurve. A good driveability and reliability of the car. What exactly in details is used for to get the best performance doesn´t matter so much to me.

me also....but in the moment i have to do some work at my escos.

firstly i change from 4wd to 2wd by installing an T5 box.
the diff is 7.5" / 3.62 / lsd
traction is controlled by racelogic tractioncontrol.
for the tyres i will go for a set of toyo semislicks in 265mm.
