Nope guess again..

Wiring on the doors have problems as the loom is too short.

You can buy a kit to fix the problem - its very common on 306's

Its about 90 quid I think and isn't the nicest job to do.

I dunno.. all I know is they have a loom issue on the front doors and you buy a repair kit which needs fitting- I believe its a door off job..

The repair kit is longer and solves the problem

It stems from the fact 306 doors open so wide.

The plastic buttons that move up and down as you lock/unlock the door have a habit of sticking causing the central locking to lock/unlock as you describe.

An easy fix is to simply remove them(I did and the problem was cured)....worth a try & if it works its saved you £90.

peel back the rubber cover on all the wires leading into the doors then this will tell you if a wire has broken or has been cut i had one like this at work and it ended up being the wires in the boot by the hinges getting strapped and shorting the circuit out

As said above... The wiring inside the rubber joining the wing to the door has a common fault with wires breaking.

Yup, replacment looms are a arse to fit as none of the colour match up either. Door off job really, but removing the doors are easy as so no worries there.
