I know that feeling well 
. Not quite three figure speeds, but it was arse pinching enough getting into a tank slapper at 95mph that ended up with me finally spinning just a few feet away from the grass .
This was at one of the top speed events in the Sapphire, where I was ON IT from the bottom corner and wasn't expecting it to let go at that speed.
Someone had it on video (one of the MAD crew I believe?), but I never saw it.
I "think" (they all merge into one) this was the Bruce day and I calmly drove back down to the bottom, turned round and did 180.9mph, which beat Mark's efforts in Bruce's car, where all his previous efforts had failed to better 179mph . This was the day they stayed behind and finally did 182mph (after I had left due to being on a promise )

I binned it at Brunters in our old XR2i on the top 180 deg corner. Just over estimated my talent and it reminded me I wasn't as good as I thought I was.
Had a couple of minor moments there with Fast Ford at the begining of August but nothing too bad.

Looked at the tyres when we got back to our pit area and had taked about 6" of tread of the tyres right down to the wire
To say we were lucky is no understatment I wouldnt try it again for 10k
