Hey, i joined that ADAC recovery scheme via fax on Saturday morning, i know they recieved it as they faxed me back asking for Visa expiry date, has any one else joined it and heard from them yet ? Should we get a card from them, or a list of contacts for if the worst does happen, i put on my application that i was travelling on the 7th so might still get something posted.

I also tried the AA cover today which was £55 but doesn't cover cars 11 yrs old or more, so i rang Boncaster RSOC insurers who cover me for the Ring no probs but they gave me the number for Freeway European cover, they wouldn't cover me as the cars over 15yrs old, then after speaking to a supervisor they said it would be £32 plus £30 surcharge for the age of the vehicle. In the end i booked it for that price but talk about sponging off us motorists, my car is in top nick engine wise, new suspension etc, new clutch going in thursday am too, i would say the majority of RSOC members have cars certainly about or older than 15yrs so i reckon they ought to be waiving the £30 fee or adjusting there pricing, if they had just said its going to be 362 all in i'd have been happy.
