way i see it, skylines are getting more common nowadays and to me are just another cheap import off the docks.

been in quite a few cossies and nothing beats the noise, smell, feel of a cossie. even down to when they are running and you can hear the fuel pump running at the back.

GTS - is a skyline with a rb25det engine which is 2.5 litre straight six and only is single turbo with 250bhp.
GTR - Skyline with a rb26dett engine which is a 2.6 straight six twin turbocharged engine putting out 275bhp

i think that white one goes to show they can look rather cack, black one is okay, but i feel there is this stigma about them in my opinion (bit max flowery) (some ppl may say that about the escort)

there are some really fooking nice gts s about,...mate has a really classy looking one,... you know who you are...

gtr for me have more presence,....the r32 rally slag stylings arnt to everyones taste, but i like the hard boxy edges.....an as said,....easy for 400hp,....about Ł600....

up to 10k then it d be gtr 32
10k-20k then escort cossie
20k + gtr34....

yeah i have, skylines do sound gorgeous!!! will admit that myself. i know a lad who's got a GT-s about 300horse, running a 3" downpipe, de-cat, then 3" all the way to the back box, and it does sound lovely and smooth. skylines have just never done it for me though.

but they just dont 'feel' as fast for some reason (comparing the 350bhp one i was in to my stage 3 sapphire).
I dont have much luck with nissans either, so id say go with the escort. Spare parts i would think are easier to sorce too?

cossie s give a massive kick on boost, whereas the liners dont,...(unless they huge bhp)

like the escrot cos small turbo......for driveablitity.....

turbos first thing ill be upgrading, to get that "kick"

Everytime I go out I get at least 2-3 people taking photos of the Skyline. I was in the Westend the other day and it was just comedy. It was like I was Micheal Jackson or something! flashes going off all the time from tourists and chavs alike Do you get that in your Fiesta? or maybe you are right! and all the people taking photos of mine are doing it because they think its fucking awwwwwwful as well

I have driven Lee's R34 on track at Bedford, and I preferred my Escort. Skyline's are VERY heavy and you need a considerable amount of horsepower more than a Cossie to be faster (to get equal power to weight).

Obviously the Kudos is in a different league (thanks to the current Playstation era ), but it didn't feel like a driver's car to me (obviously unlike Lee when he drove my car, I treated his as if it was someone elses ).

And to sum up - Lee aren't you selling your Skyline?

You do need to really get hold of a Skyline and drive it hard to be honest as well. They are a drivers car mate trust me. I can understand why you didn't do that to mine Mike... although I properly caned the ass of yours

Heres a deal for you mate. I hardly drive it anyway so why don't you take the Skyline for a whole week and use it properly on the road including your favourite backlane blasts and stuff and all the day to day shite. AND then you can give a proper opinion on it and whether they are drivers cars

But noticed someone asked the difference between GTRs and GTSs, and someone said engine size and power.
But thats not the half of it, they totally different.
4wd for a start.
Wider arches.
Better looking in general.
Half decent interior.
Better everything.
And GTSTs are what they on about, GTSs are non turbo gayness.
Like comparing a EscCos to a RS2000 or similar.
