matt the head gasket went yesterday as we all now ownership of turbo cars = no money the good news is its a easy job and i can do it total cost £107.00 for genuine mitso head gasket and bolts, no more money than doin my erst the other thing is how easy and nice the evo is to work on , i also couldent believe the main mitsubishi dealer had my imported car details up on ther computer from my chassis number and cud get me any part for it all this shit about main dealers saying thay wont have anything to do with imports.
the bad news is the old girl my erst iv owned for 10 years went to a guy in blackpool just down from stu,s i realy did cry a little
i just couldent justify putin massive money into it to save it from roting away and needing a new engine
i will always love rs,s and hope to do a s1 restoration job one day when i have the cash but for now the evo was the best option and best price

Fingers crossed it's the gasket mate, may be worth checking the head while it's off?

Word of warning, make sure you get the balance shafts correctly lined back up when you put the cam belt back on.........
Otherwise you will drive it up the road and it will shake your teeth out, and you will have to do the job again
