Default earth points diagram

hi folks, does anyone have a picture or diagram with the earth ponts ina 1989 2wd saph? is there an earth connected to the dashboard lights, as alll my dash lights have gone off,

have you tried the wire plug on the back of the instrument cluster? make sure that hasn't worked loose first.

Also worth checking the dash board dimmer switch

Pull it out and connect the two wires off the back of the switch,should get dash lights at there brightest then

Gracey means on the back of your set of clocks

cheers mate, so do i connect the wires when the engine is running yer?? im crap at electrics

whats the best way to get to the back of the clocks then?? the lower dash pannell?is it just unscrew and have a feel around??

Don't need engine running or ignition on,just lights switched onto sidelights then put the two wires together

Easyiest way to get to back of clocks is to remove them,can't remember off hand how many screws etc there is,but you need to remove the cowling that sits over clocks first and the steering column surround IIRC
